Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh is a state within the northern a part of India. Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh. In winter capital of himachal pradesh change to Dharamshala. In other words, Shimla and Dharamshala are two capitals of Himachal Pradesh. On North it’s bordered by Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. On West it’s bordered By Punjab. On Southwest it’s bordered by Harayana. On the Southeast it’s bordered by Uttarakhand State. It touches the uttar Pradesh state on the southernmost level and Tibet area on east.
Divisions
HP state is Divide into three divisions Shimla, Kangra and Mandi. The Districts Chamba, Kangra and Una occure in Kangra division.Mandi, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti, hamirpur and Bilaspur occure in Mandi division. Kinnaur, Sirmaur, Solan and Shimla occure in shimla division. It has total 12 districts, 69 subdivisions, 78 blocks and 145 Tehsils.
Administrative Structure
Administrative Structure of Himachal Pradesh are like this. It has 3 Divisions(Shimla, Kangra and Mandi).Chamba, kangra, Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti, Mandi, Kinnaur, Shimla, Sirmaur and Solan are the 12 Districts in Himachal Pradesh. It has 169 Tehsils/ Sub-Tehsils. Developmental Blocks are 78 only. Urban Local Bodies are 54 Only. Total number of Towns are 59 only. 3226 Gram Panchayats and 20690 villages in Himachal Pradesh. Police Stations in Himchal Pradesh are 130 only. Lok Sabha Seats in Himachal Pradesh are 4 and Rajya Sabha Seats are only 3.

The total geographical area of Himachal is 55,673 square kilometres and total population are 6,864,602. Males Population are 3,481,873 and Females Population are 3,382,729. Population density of Himachal Pradesh is 123. Sex ratio of Himachal Pradesh is 972. Rural population of Himachal Pradesh is 6,176,050 and Urban population 688,552. Scheduled Caste population is 1,729,252 and Scheduled Tribe population 392,126. Toal Literacy rate of Himchal Pradesh is 83.78% in which Male literacy is 90.83% and Female literacy is 76.60%.
